Schitalochka
Schitalochka turns a cartoon notebook into a set of math puzzles. Fill the gaps in sums and differences, find missing numbers or compare two values, choosing an answer from the tiles beside each question.
How to play Schitalochka
- Click Play, then choose an exercise. The menu arrows lead to four groups of ten: addition, subtraction, missing numbers and comparisons. All 40 questions are available from the start.
- Drag a number onto the question mark with your mouse or finger. In the comparison exercises, drag the less-than or greater-than sign instead. Centre the tile over the question mark so it snaps into place.
- A wrong tile disappears, leaving the question open for another try. There is no timer. A correct answer brings a congratulatory message, then returns you to the exercise menu after a short pause.
- The number exercises include apples you can count. Exercises 10, 20, 30 and 40 also show a prize picture after you answer correctly.

Tips
- Count the apples if you get stuck on a number question. In exercises 1 to 30, their count gives the missing number, including when the gap is inside the calculation rather than after the equals sign. Do not use them to choose a comparison sign.
