Space Survivor puts an armored soldier on foot against aliens closing in from every side. Your weapons attack automatically, leaving you to find a path through the crowd and build your equipment as you collect experience.

How to play Space Survivor

  • Move with WASD or the arrow keys. You can also hold and drag with your mouse or finger to use the virtual joystick.
  • Choose one of the three starting weapons offered for that run. Possible choices include the Gun, which targets nearby enemies; the Crossbow and Flamethrower, which fire in your direction of movement; and the Knife, which strikes left or right.
  • Collect the gems dropped by defeated enemies to level up, then choose one of three upgrades. You can carry up to six weapons and six supplies. Supplies start appearing among your choices once you have three weapons.
  • A weapon at five stars needs its matching supply to unlock an evolution in a later level-up choice. For example, the Gun needs Ammo Booster to become the Uzi. Chests can give gold or upgrades for equipment you already carry.
  • First Aid Kits restore health. A magnet picked up from the ground gathers the experience gems already lying around.
  • Boss fights start at five and ten minutes on the stage clock, which stops during those fights. Defeat the final boss or boss group to clear the stage. Losing all health defeats you.
  • Progress through eight stages by clearing them on Normal. Each Normal clear also unlocks Hard mode for that same stage. Beat a stage on Hard to unlock its Insane mode.
  • You keep collected gold after defeat. Spend it between runs on permanent upgrades to damage, maximum health, defense, healing, gold collection, or experience gains.

Tips

  • Check the supply your main weapon needs before filling all six supply slots. Taking unrelated supplies can leave no room for the one needed to evolve it.
  • If the Gun is offered and you want to concentrate on dodging, take it. Its automatic targeting lets you retreat while attacking enemies behind you; a direction-based weapon requires you to turn toward them.

Build your weapons up and clear the next alien wave.
