Gundam Rogue Orbit Release Date and Editions Compared

Gundam Rogue Orbit is scheduled for March 5, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, according to Bandai Namco. Digital preorders are open. Steam displays March 4, 2027, but the exact unlock time is unconfirmed; that date alone does not establish that PC players get early access.

Gundam Rogue Orbit editions and US prices

Standard is enough if you only want the game. No listed edition includes a story expansion or season pass. Compare the others by the digital extras or physical collectibles you actually want:

Standard and Deluxe prices are from the US Xbox store; Launch and Collector's prices are from Bandai Namco's US store. Prices may vary by country and change over time; tax and delivery charges may be extra. Xbox's “+” marks in-app purchases.

Deluxe costs US$20 more than Standard at these reference prices. Launch shares Standard's base price, but it is a physical console package, not an upgrade you add to a digital copy.

Collector's is on a waitlist in the US store as of September 12, 2026. Email signup is not an order or reservation. Availability elsewhere may differ.

How many people can play co-op?

Do not buy it expecting to play the campaign together from the start. In GamerBraves' interview with producer Yuya Tomiyama and director Yoshiyuki Serizawa, multiplayer is described as opening after the main story, with up to three players bringing their customized Gundams into battle. The interview does not specify whether every participant must finish the story first.

The Xbox store separately lists single-player and online co-op for 2–3 players. Online play on Xbox requires an eligible Game Pass subscription, sold separately. Steam lists co-op without a player limit; the interview gives a broader picture, but platform-specific joining requirements still need clarification.

For friends on different platforms, cross-play is still unannounced. Shared progression is also unconfirmed, so do not count on moving a save between versions if you buy more than one.

What does the Deluxe booster do?

The Mission Reward Booster increases Gene and Material Core earned from missions, according to its Xbox listing. No increase amount or duration is given. If that is your main reason to choose Deluxe, wait for those figures; the description is not enough to estimate how many hours it might save.

Can you earn the preorder color without preordering?

Yes. Bandai Namco says the in-game Earth Blue color is earnable through normal progression. Preordering unlocks it early, but waiting for reviews does not prevent you from earning it later. It is not listed for separate sale at launch.

This is a color for your in-game Mobile Suit, not the physical Earth Blue model kit included with Collector's.

Physical editions: platform, region and delivery

Launch is offered for PS5 and Xbox Series X in Bandai Namco's US store, with no PC option. Before ordering, match the disc to your hardware: Xbox Series S cannot use it, and a PS5 must have a compatible disc drive.

Use your retailer's contents list: the reversible cover and poster in the US Collector's package, for example, are absent from the European description.

The PC Collector's delivery format needs clarification. The US selector offers PC (Steam), but the shared description says “Base Game (Physical Disc).” Ask the store how and when the PC game is supplied before ordering. Bandai Namco does not guarantee release-day delivery for physical orders.

Steam lists Denuvo Anti-Tamper but no complete PC requirements yet. If your machine's compatibility is uncertain, wait for the requirements before committing to a copy.

What has Bandai Namco shown of combat?

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Rogue Orbit combines ground, aerial and space battles. The Gundam Helix uses melee and ranged weapons with their own actions and skills. Customization goes beyond paint: players can change weapons, frames, thrusters and Apocalypse Units to build their Mobile Suit around a preferred fighting style.

The same developer interview gives a concrete reason to use charged shots: charging the Beam Rifle adds piercing properties. It also describes the Gun-Rise Gauge as enabling a temporary powered-up state, alongside movement options called Steps and attack cancels. Exact inputs, cancel windows and damage figures are not given there, so these are confirmed features to look for, not a tested combo sequence.

Do you need to know Gundam before playing?

Bandai Namco presents the game as an entry point for newcomers. RE-X pilots the Helix with Haro assistant Vii against the Apocalypse in a new timeline. The RG Project links it to the forthcoming anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO, with the game's story set after the anime's events. Watching the anime has not been named as a prerequisite.
