Candy Crush
Candy Crush here is a tap-to-clear puzzle rather than a swap game. Tap one candy and every candy of that colour connected to it goes at once, the rest drop, and the columns slide together to close the gap. Nothing refills from the top, so the board only ever empties.
How to play Candy Crush
- Tap any group of two or more touching candies of the same colour to clear them. Each tap costs one move.
- Every level sets a target: collect a set number of certain colours, shown at the top, before your moves run out.
- Hit the targets and you pass. Run out of moves first and the level restarts.
- Your star rating comes from the moves you did not spend. Over 60 percent left earns three stars, 30 to 60 percent earns two, and under 30 percent earns one.
- Clearing candies earns coins, and the shop sells boosters. Rocket clears a row, Lollybomb clears a column, Bomb pops a single candy, and Random recolours one.
- There are 100 levels.
Tips
- Always take the biggest group of the colour you need. A group of twelve and a group of two cost exactly the same one move.
- Chase the colours on the target counters, not the easiest cluster on the board. A tidy clear that collects nothing still costs you a move.
- Clear low on the board first. The columns collapse and slide together, and that sideways slide is what builds fresh groups for you.
- Keep the boosters for a board that has stopped offering big groups, because that is where moves get wasted.
