Resize photos
Up to 2048px on the long side
Facebook keeps uploaded photos at up to this size, so anything bigger is resized there anyway. Keeps the whole photo and its proportions; smaller photos are left as they are.

Use the original photo for cropping
You can crop a photo directly; you do not need to resize it first. Start with the original so you have more room to adjust the frame.
If a photo is too small
The crop tool skips photos that cannot fill the selected size without enlargement. Check the dimensions shown in the message and use a larger source photo, or choose a size it can fill.
Common questions
- Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
- No. Resizing and cropping happen in your browser. Download the results before closing or reloading the page; the tool does not keep them for later.
- Does resizing affect image quality?
- Resizing and JPG compression can change fine detail. A JPG already within the 2048px limit is kept as it is; other supported formats are converted to JPG. Your original file is unchanged.
- Do iPhone photos work?
- Yes. You can select HEIC or HEIF photos and save the result as JPG. If a file cannot be opened, export a JPG copy from your photo app and try again.
- How are the results saved?
- Results are saved as separate JPG files, without a ZIP archive. On supported phones, the share menu lets you choose where to save them.
